  • Unsecured vulnerability since April 2025

The WordPress Canonical Attachments plugin up to version 1.8 has a known Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability, tracked as CVE-2025-32543 and first published 2025-04-09. Because the plugin fails to sanitize user inputs, unauthenticated attackers could inject malicious scripts. As of mid-2026, no official patch is available.

  • Does what it should do

Great and unique plugin for those who are into SEO. Special thanks for the support from the developer.

  • Works exactly as expected!

The plugin is easy to install and the admin interface makes it super simple to quickly add the canonical tag to pdf files. As one of the developers of the plugin, I am biased, but ... I can honestly say that it accomplishes everything that I need.
