  • Reliable Database Cleaner from a Developer I Trust

I have been using Meow Apps products for a long time, including an AI Engine Pro lifetime license, and Database Cleaner has been another excellent addition to my WordPress toolkit. Jordy and the Meow Apps team consistently keep their plugins updated with compatibility improvements, security fixes, and useful new features. That ongoing care is a major reason I trust this developer team. Database Cleaner genuinely saved me when another third party WordPress plugin went haywire and filled my database with a huge amount of junk. I was dreading the alternative: digging through phpMyAdmin, trying to identify the right records, writing custom SQL queries, exporting the database to repair it somewhere else, and then playing musical chairs with backups and restores. That can go wrong quickly, especially on a live site. Instead, Database Cleaner gave me a practical way to inspect the data, see what was likely connected to the problem plugin, and clean up the mess without turning database maintenance into a stressful manual repair job. I still strongly recommend taking a full backup first, but this plugin made a difficult situation far more manageable and saved me a lot of time. It is clean, fast, and easy to understand. Easy Mode makes routine maintenance approachable, while Expert Mode provides more control when you need to inspect specific database tables, options, metadata, cron jobs, post types, and more. I especially appreciate being able to review what is being identified before removing anything. The one click cleaning tools and asynchronous processing are particularly useful for larger sites. Instead of struggling with timeouts during database maintenance, the plugin handles tasks in smaller requests that are much easier on the server. The search, filtering, statistics, history, and data browsing tools also make it much easier to find large or outdated entries and understand what is taking up space. It does not claim to be a direct SEO tool, but a clean and healthy da

  • Great Tool to Optimize Website

I have been using Database Cleaner for almost a year now and haven't had any issues with it whatsoever. The database cleaner has been helpful keeping my website optimized and I am able to have a better understanding of my WP_Options and other components related to my database. It's great to see an app respond really well to the WordPress environment.

  • Smart relational analysis & Lower false positives

A well-designed WordPress optimisation plugin that stands out for its precision and restraint. Rather than aggressively deleting data, it analyses relationships within the database and clearly flags what appears to be genuinely orphaned — such as unused post meta, expired transients, auto drafts and leftover entries from removed plugins. This relational awareness significantly reduces the risk of false positives, which is especially important on complex sites running multiple plugins, custom tables or LMS and ecommerce systems. The interface is clean, readable and transparent, allowing administrators to see exactly what will be removed before confirming deletion. Another strong advantage is its lightweight footprint and non-intrusive approach. It does not clutter the dashboard or attempt to automate risky background clean-ups without clear visibility. Instead, it encourages deliberate, manual optimisation — which is often the wiser route for production environments. For WordPress users who want database hygiene without compromising stability, Database Cleaner offers a careful balance of power, clarity and safety, making it a reliable tool for maintaining long-term site performance.

  • Search function for free

A very good plugin with features that are usually found in premium plugins, for example, a search function, which in Advanced Database Cleaner, for instance, requires the Pro version.
