  • Support is excellent

I have been using Directorist for the last 6-9 months and in that time, I could see constant improvements by the guys to make their system even better. Anytime I have reached out to support, they have been more than helpful and of late even helped out with a little custom code to suit my needs. I'm using Directorist more as an internal directory and between their support and the flexibility of Directorist it has become a powerful platform for my business. I would highly recommend the platform and especially the directorist support team as they have been excellent for me. Thanks guys for all your help to date

  • Update: raised from 1 to 3 stars after...

Update: raised from 1 to 3 stars after Directorist's support team followed up properly. They were honest about the limitation — my site needs separate directory types (e.g. restaurants vs. accommodations) that don't collide with the URLs of existing Business listings, and the current architecture can't do this without breaking things. It took close to a week to get a straight answer, which is a long time when you're running a live site with paying featured partners waiting. To their credit: they investigated properly instead of giving a quick non-answer, processed a full refund without any pushback, and passed my use case to their product team. If you run one simple directory, this plugin will likely work fine for you. If you need multiple distinct directory types on a live production site, ask about this limitation before you buy — I wish I had.Initial review: We purchased the Pricing Plans ($39) and Claim Listing ($29) extensions to run a directory where listings are free by default and any one listing can be individually upgraded to "Featured" for a flat fee — a documented use case. Neither extension supports it: a free listing has no upgrade path to a Pay-Per-Listing plan on the frontend, and a Pay-Per-Listing plan silently refuses to save as $0. We opened a support ticket describing both bugs precisely, with a temporary admin account for them to reproduce it directly. It took 6 days to get a reply, and the reply didn't answer our questions — it pointed us to a core-plugin setting (a highlight badge) that we'd already tried and that doesn't solve the actual problem. For a paid extension we expected either a clear "this isn't supported" or a working fix — not a week of silence followed by a non-answer. We've since requested a refund.

  • Fantastic Plugin with limitiations

I have HIGH praises for this plugin and most certainly for their support team wo worked diligently with me to resolve my issue to get the plugin to work as I wanted it to.Now on another note which is separate from my problem, I did find it a bit unusual for the need to add each United State and the territories to the app as opposed to some sort of import. I did not trouble the support team with an inquiry but look briefly on YouTube to see if I was missing something which I may have but decided to just go ahead and enter each item manually which wasn't awful.I cannot submit this review without giving a shout-out to Mahfuzul Alam as it appears he was my personal helper throughout the life of the ticket and for that I truly thank you my friend.OH just an FYI that he helped me with which was kind of funny in a sense; I could not update the "Pricing Plans" but he let me know that all I had to do was just log into my account and Voila' it worked!!!!!

  • Where were you in 1999

I started a directory website in 1999 if Directorist had been around then life would have sure been easier the last 25+years I stuck with a theme provider that gave no actual support and updates, and were few and far between maybe once every 2 years and all the support was on a forum page that you had to keep your annual subscription active to have access to, so when I started looking for a solution for a directory theme I was running. I was fortunate enough to find Directorist I tried their free version that they offer to everyone and I could see right away that I wanted to step up and get all of the app extensions that they offer so on day two I subscribed to the "Agency" plan which is very reasonably priced Now my website is up and running with the new theme and all of the great extensions that are offered from Directorist but the real reason why anyone should even consider Directorist is there support team from day one they have been so helpful and answered any questions I had, and fixed any problems within hours of me submitting an help ticket Or using the support team live chat

  • Amazing support, great plugin

This is a great plugin that made my customer very happy. Support also assisted when I wanted to change the font size on the "SOLD" badge plus other support queries. So good to get actual support. Can't recommend them highly enough.
