  • Updates messed validation up completely

    Since the latest update, all our orders with VAT suddenly where calculated VAT-free. We had tens of invoices generated wrong until we caught the error. Meaning that we had to manually correct each of the dozens of items line by line. This was one of the worst experiences we ever had with a production plugin for Woo. We still don't know how to fix it. As it is right now, it is unusable. You will get orders in with VAT = 0 applied, although customers entered their correct VAT and should pay VAT. Until a few days ago all orders were generated correctly, invoices could be generated correctly. All gone after the update. Very, very annoyed customer here, as an error like that has serious fiscal repercussions.I stay at 3 stars, because we used this plugin for a long time with only minor problems. I'm not sure what happens, but plugin updates in general start to become more and more sloppy, with errors that truly imperil production sites. We'll look for a new plugin now.

    This is the only plugin (that I know of) that actually checks VAT numbers against VIES for free. I had an issue (my own fault) with the plugin on my block based (FSE) setup but customer support was fast, responsive and helpful.

    This plugin has been a lifesaver for our WooCommerce store! We sell to businesses across the EU and the UK, so managing VAT compliance had become a real headache. Real-time VIES validation works flawlessly — customers enter their VAT number at checkout, and the plugin instantly verifies it and adjusts the tax accordingly. AJAX validation is smooth and doesn't require any page reloads, keeping the checkout process professional and quick. I was particularly impressed by how customisable it is. We can set different rules for different countries, control when VAT is exempted or preserved, and customise all the messages that customers see during validation. The plugin also works perfectly with the new block-based checkout, which was important to us. The support team deserves a special mention — they're incredibly responsive and helpful.
