  • Works, but with caveats

    This plugin functionally re-adds PayPal standard as it says - you can accept standard payments. There are a couple big drawbacks, which are ultimately why I uninstalled it. First, the payment method no longer appears in the order details, invoices or emails. Not only is it confusing, but it can throw off your bookkeeping systems. There is a several month old unanswered support thread about this as of 7/2026. Second, PayPal payment logo was intentionally removed at the checkout page with an update. The PayPal mark is one that customers trust. Removing it was a strange decision, IMO. I had to write a hook to add it back. I'm glad this is an option available at no charge but I ultimately went with a different solution.
