Didn't Work for Posts

Couldn't get this to work
I just couldn't get this to work for me - I was unable to assign any user roles. It might be a conflict with another plugin, or it might just be my lack of knowledge, but I've given up and installed a different plugin 'content control' which seems to be doing what I want.
