  • Ressourcenfresser und 404-Generierer

    Ich habe RankMath jetzt 6 Wochen intensiv getestet und nach massiven Problemen heute von allen Installationen gelöscht. Erstens macht es das WordPress Dashboard durch unnötig viele Funktionen langsam, dann ist es überladen und nicht selbsterklärend. Es ist ein Speicherfresser vor dem Herrn, schlimmer noch als sein großer Konkurrent, der dafür noch aufdringlichere Werbung hat. Da nimmt sich RankMath SEO erfreulich zurück, ist aber kein Waisenknabe. Am schlimmsten ist, dass es sich bei Themes wie Avada ungefragt einmischt und Funktionen blockiert (z.B. Breadcrumbs) und selbst nach dem Ausschalten dieser Funktion weiter blockiert, so dass man sich nie sicher ist, ob da doch Funktionen verloren gegangen sind. Es entsteht ein Zickenkrieg, wer was darf. Ganz klar ist für mich ein Breadcrumb eine Funktion meines Builders und nicht die eines SEO-Plugins. Was erlauben sich RankMath SEO? Dann generiert es durch aggressive Permalinks und Umschreiben jede Menge 404-Fehler. Ich habe Wochen gebraucht, bis ich den Grund für die Beschwerden in Google Search Console herausfand. Aufgeblähte SEO-Plugins neigen zur Selbstbeschäftigung. Das braucht kein Mensch. Auch will ich mich nicht bevormunden lassen, wie ich zu schreiben habe. Ungebetene Ratschläge mag man gar nicht. Und erst recht mag man keine permanenten Aufforderungen, ein Tool zu bewerten. Da wird es dann übergriffig. Ich habe es entfernt und eine schlanke Alternative installiert. Und siehe da - mein WordPress rockt wieder und alle 404-Fehler sind verschwunden. Fazit: Braucht kein Mensch. Ich werde künftig Plugin-Empfehlungen von Agenturen kritischer sehen.
