The plugin ignores native WP settings and forces automatic updates
This plugin adopts a behavior that I consider bad practice. It intentionally bypasses the native WordPress system by registering its own auto_update_plugin filter to decide for itself whether automatic updates should be enabled. As a result, the WordPress "Enable/Disable automatic updates" button no longer accurately reflects the plugin's behavior. Even after disabling updates from the admin interface, the plugin continues to use its own internal method to make the decision. A plugin shouldn't take over such a fundamental WordPress feature. Administrators expect interface settings to take precedence, not to be silently ignored by a specific implementation. This approach unnecessarily complicates site maintenance, surprises administrators, and sometimes requires writing custom code just to restore WordPress's normal behavior. I appreciate the integration with WooCommerce and MailerLite, but this design choice is difficult to justify and goes against the principle of least surprise. A plugin should respect the administrator's decisions, not circumvent them.

Poor Experience and No Support
I had a very disappointing experience with this plugin. Despite following all instructions and providing the required details, my account kept getting rejected without clear guidance. I reached out for support multiple times but received no proper help or resolution. The lack of clarity and absence of responsive support made the whole process extremely frustrating. I ultimately had to delete my account and move to another service provider that verified my business without unnecessary delays.

Website broken
This plugin broke core features within WooCommerce (i.e. updating orders, creating orders) resulting in errors or duplicate entries with a generic error. This happened after it was upgraded to version 3.0.1. Deactivated and won't use it again.

Excellent customer service
MailerLite's support is second to none - they are friendly, prompt and helpful, and always eager to resolve the issue. I engaged with a number of different customer service representatives while trying to fix the problem and had a positive experience with them all.

Can't create signup forms
Gives errrors Please create an Interest Group first. Please select at least one Interest Group (tag) from the list. Even tho it works on the website and I do have it all set up properly. This makes this plugin completely useless
